Ashok Desai is the Managing Director of Henley Securities. He is an experienced investment adviser who has been in the financial and accounting industries for over twenty years. He advises a number of corporate and retail clients on wealth management advice.
Ashok understands the needs of his clients and the important role he plays by adopting a "client tailored" approach using a careful combination of investment options such as:
- Direct shares,
- Managed funds,
- Term deposits, and
- Gearing.
His portfolio management style allows him to help clients achieve their specific personal goals and objectives by managing their investments on a day to day basis to maximise their after tax returns.
He is Level 1 Derivatives accredited, compliant with ASIC Regulatory Guideline 146 and is a qualified Financial Planning Specialist with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Ashok is a past Chairman for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Western Australia and sat on the Western Australian Regional Council from 2002 to 2008. He also was a member of the Institute's Financial Planning Special Interest Group. Ashok has been a member of UWA's Council for Convocation, a body that has over 45,000 members, since 2002. He is a former President of the Graduate Management Association, the alumni body of the University of Western Australia's MBA program. Ashok is also past Treasurer for The Health Consumers' Council WA Inc and is currently a member of The PLC Parents' Committee.
